Halloween

I know I haven't been on here lately so I promise to catch up.  I have started back to school and that takes most of my free time but I wanted to share our Halloween.
This year my dreams finally came true!  I have always wanted our family to dress up as color crayons.  Though Zech wasn't keen on the idea, he knew it would make me happy so he joined in.

Zech's school put on a little party the Saturday before Halloween for all the kids in town.  They had games, crafts, snacks, and a cat walk.

Zech strutted his stuff on the cat walk and our family got all 10s!!!  After the party we took the kids home for a nap before going to our ward's trunk or treat.  Again there was food, games, and or course trunk or treating.

As for actual Halloween, the kids were all sick so we stayed in and had a little party instead.  He had pumpkin shaped pizza, decorated sugar cookies, painted and enjoyed each others company.

Elai helping make the cookies

Over all we had a great time.  Our children are getting to really fun ages.  Elai got the hang of the whole trick or treating thing this year.  Josie thought painting was the funnest thing in the entire world.  Having children sure makes holidays more enjoyable.

{Surprising Daddy}

It's spring!  We have great weather, the sun is shining.  What does this mean?  It's time to for a picnic.  We had the opportunity to surprise Daddy at school with a picnic lunch.

Elai loved that he got to see his daddy during the middle of the day and Josie really enjoyed crawling around in the grass.  I wish we could just bottle up these days and make them last forever.  I am hoping for many more picnics before our time here is over.

Saint Louis

Zech has had this entire week off from school.  This only comes around....well let me think....NEVER.  So we decided we were going to take advantage of it and drive to Saint Louis so we could go to the temple.  On the way there, we drove through Springfield so that we could get our military id cards.  Of course no stop in Springfield would be complete without a trip to...
The Abraham Lincoln tomb.  It is such a beautiful monument.

We loved learning little details about Abraham's life.
After the monument we proceeded to Saint Louis where we...
Got to go on a carriage ride tour of down town.  It was so beautiful, there were Christmas lights all over downtown.
Elai loved the horse.  He talked about it all night.  After the tour we were lucky enough to have dinner with an old friend from Pocatello who now lives in Saint Louis.

Note to Everyone: EATING AT DAVE AND TONY'S BURGERS IS A MUST IF YOU ARE IN SAINT LOUIS.  Best burger I have ever had.

Campus Tour

Tonight Zechary took me on a stroll of campus. We had such a great time walking around looking at all the old buildings. In the center of campus they have this statue which is supposed to be famous so I figured I had better take a picture of it.

We are not in Idaho any more! On all of the campus buildings you will find tornado shelter signs.

I really love all of the buildings on campus, they are not like any other campus buildings I have seen before (I know it's not saying much, I am sheltered!). Most of the buildings look like mansions.

Here are a few of my favorites!

Well week one of medical school is finished and we have survived! We are excited to be here and to explore everything. Things are sure different here so we are trying to just take in as much as possible. I have met some great ladies who have husbands in the MD program with Zech. It's nice to have a support system here since our family is so far away. We have been having lots of fun and will try and share some of our experiences along the way.
